Årets bästa fest är tillbaka – och som vanligt är hela Ringön full av aktiviteter, mat, dryck och musik från förmiddag till sena natten. Just på Monument gillar vi att ta i lite extra och ja i år är inget undantag.

Regn? Bah, vi skrattar åt regn. Mest för att vi har 1200kvm inomhus med två scener och tre barer, så allt flyttar bara in isåfall och festen blir underbar oavsett!
En av den politiska hiphopens mest kompromisslösa och inflytelserika röster kommer till Sverige. I oktober intar Immortal Technique Göteborg, Malmö och Stockholm för tre exklusiva konserter – tillsammans med Poison Pen och DJ Static.
Född i Peru och uppvuxen i Harlem har Immortal Technique sedan början av 2000-talet byggt en stark internationell publik genom sin kompromisslösa independent-hiphop. Med sylvass samhällskritik, politiskt laddade texter och ett intensivt berättande har han blivit en kultfigur inom undergroundscenen – inte minst genom album som Revolutionary Vol. 1, Revolutionary Vol. 2 och The 3rd World.
Hans politiska och sociala engagemang har alltid gått hand i hand med musiken, och på scen levereras budskapet med samma energi och intensitet.
Nu kommer Immortal Technique till Sverige för tre konserter på tre dagar. Med sig har han sin mångårige sidekick Poison Pen och DJ Static.
På samtliga tre konserter ser vi även Viggo Nobis som support – en svensk rappare på uppgång som nyligen släppte sin debut EP ’Tennisplanen’. Dessutom väntar DJs och hemliga gäster, som kommer att presenteras längre fram.

Marshall Live from Monument presenterar en kväll med två av den svenska alternativscenens mest spännande akter. Den 13 augusti intar ShitKid och Boy With Apple scenen på Monument följt av DJ:s (TBA). Gratis inträde med fribiljett – Insläpp sker enligt principen först till kvarn och insläppet stänger när lokalen nått maxkapaccitet. Så kom i tid!
ShitKid Sedan debuten 2016 har Åsa Söderqvist, under namnet ShitKid, etablerat sig som en av Sveriges mest särpräglade röster inom alternativrocken. Tillsammans med bandkollegan Lina Molarin Eriksson har hon byggt en kompromisslös mix av lo-fi-pop, punk, indierock och experimentell musik som gett henne en internationell kultstatus och fans som Iggy Pop och Billie Joe Armstrong. ShitKid har spelat på festivaler som Roskilde, SXSW, Way Out West och The Great Escape. Efter några år lämnade Åsa musiklivet för att utbilda sig till sjuksköterska, men samtidigt fortsatte hennes publik att växa världen över. Nu, tio år efter debutsingeln, firar ShitKid med en världsturné och samlingsalbumen The Essential Vol. 1 och Vol. 2.
Boy With Apple Boy With Apple är ett drömpopband från Göteborg som kombinerar svävande ljudlandskap med tunga elektroniska beats. Reverbdränkta gitarrer, analoga synthar och de två sångerskorna Zara Henriksson och Saga Franssons drömlika stämmor skapar ett atmosfäriskt men kraftfullt sound där drömsk melankoli möter elektronisk intensitet. Live är bandet känt för sina högljudda och omslutande spelningar som lämnar ett bestående avtryck.
Bandet har spelat på festivaler som New Colossus i New York, SXSW i Austin och Roskilde. Debutalbumet Attachment släpptes 2024 och i år följs det upp av det efterlängtade andra albumet Navigation.

Together with bandmate Lina Molarin Eriksson, she has crafted a fearless blend of lo-fi pop, punk, indie rock and experimental music, earning an international cult following and admirers including Iggy Pop and Billie Joe Armstrong. ShitKid has performed at festivals such as Roskilde, SXSW, Way Out West and The Great Escape. After a few years, Åsa stepped away from music to train as a nurse, but her audience continued to grow around the world. Now, ten years after her debut single, ShitKid celebrates the milestone with a world tour and the compilation albums The Essential Vol. 1 and The Essential Vol. 2.
Boy With Apple Boy With Apple is a dream pop band from Gothenburg, blending floating soundscapes with heavy electronic beats. Reverb-soaked guitars, analogue synths and the ethereal harmonies of vocalists Zara Henriksson and Saga Fransson create an atmospheric yet powerful sound where dreamy melancholy meets electronic intensity. Renowned for their immersive and high-energy live performances, the band leaves a lasting impression wherever they play.
The band has performed at festivals including New Colossus in New York, SXSW in Austin and Roskilde. Their debut album Attachment was released in 2024 and is followed this year by the highly anticipated sophomore album Navigation.
DJ Spanish Fly a.k.a Antonio D. Kimbrough a.k.a the godfather of Memphis rap is coming to Monument and Ringön on August 7th!
A legend in the true sense of the word, Fly still stays humble – and still delivers on stage – from curated shows together with Tommy Wright III for Carhartt WIP or on his solo endeavours like this current tour.
This one is as much for the young ones as it is for the old heads – as anyone who’s ever heard Fly’s music can attest, it is truly timeless and unique, with that unmistakeable Memphis-flavour to it.
Emerging in the mid-1980s, he revolutionized the Southern sound with his innovative use of heavy bass, eerie melodies, and Roland TR-808 drum machines. His raw, streetwise lyrics and DIY approach made tracks like “Get Buck” and “Gangsta Walk” staples of Memphis’ underground scene. Fly deeply influenced local legends like Three 6 Mafia, 8Ball & MJG and the rise of crunk and trap music.
His sound spoke to the realities of life in Memphis, from gritty depictions of urban struggles to celebratory tracks about club life and street dancing. His DIY approach to producing and distributing music—often through cassette tapes passed around locally—helped democratize hip-hop production in the South.

Floralis is a leftist political trans artist/producer who incorporates elements of hip hop and post punk into her bizarre blend of political electro punk. Floralis’s lyricism covers topics around colonialism, the rights of sex workers, and the structural violence of transmisogyny. For fans of: Bjork, Danny Brown, Ada Rook
Dust’s dramatic, theatrical performance blends complex layers of haunting vocals; rich orchestral sounds; analog synthesis; manipulated field recordings; and textural soundscapes, creating unearthly, vertigo-inducing elegies for the climate, connection and queer possibility.
Alison Selby is a genre-flirting musician from Oslo. Her noise palette takes from sources such as 70s kosmiche, 80s synth-pop and EBM, 90s Warp output, 00s alt/art pop, and 10s post-punk.

Raptor Booking och Monument presenterar vad som garanterat är en av årets absolut galnaste bokningar – japanska VMO (Violent Magic Orchestra)!
VMO kan vara ett av världens mest intensiva och kaotiska liveakter just nu. Beväpnade med fem strobes, en rökmaskin och en vokalist levererar de något som de själva kallar för DEATH RAVE – en eklektisk blandning mellan techno, industri, gabber, noise och black metal. På scen är de sminkade i corpse paint och medlemmarna är döpta efter klassiska black metal-band. De vill också vara väldigt tydliga med att deras liveframträdanden kräver hela 5000 watt, vilket motsvarar 56 gitarrförstärkare.
Ni förstår ju själva att det är fantastiskt. Lägg till det faktum att dom helt plötsligt levererade ett Boiler Room-set sent förra året och förvirringen, kaoset och peppen är nu än mer perfekt.
