CANCELLED: Kollapse (DK) & New Money (DK) + Blessings 12/12

THIS SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED. AUTOMATIC REFUNDS ARE BEING PROCESSED.

What would December look like without some hardcore/sludge/noise from our neighbors in the south? We have no idea and we don’t intend to find out as we let KOLLAPSE and NEW MONEY ravage the stage on Thursday December 12th.

Local support in the form of BLESSINGS has been added and you, you will be present.

——

KOLLAPSE: The music of Kollapse is a pulsating building and releasing of tension. A crossbreed of noise rock, sludge- and experimental metal. A noisy, discordant spectacle of intensity. Beauty and terror coexist as the trio dig into the fabric of existence as a frail creature, hopelessly aware of its own mortality.

On stage, Kollapse weave a dark cocoon around it’s audience only to violently slice it open and drown them in sonic viscera.

NEW MONEY: From the underbelly of Copenhagen emerges NEW MONEY — a band that doesn’t merely play music, but wields it as a weapon. With a sound deeply rooted in chaotic hardcore and noise rock, they’re making their mark by delivering powerful, unfiltered music that refuses to be boxed in.

BLESSINGS: Gothenburg 4-piece Blessings merges the diverse elements of hardcore, punk, crust, and noise rock into a unique and compelling sound. Drawing comparisons to bands like At The Drive-In and Converge, their music often blends intense post-rock atmospheres with raw, heavy energy—all within a single track. The members come from a DIY punk and hardcore background, having played in various touring bands such as Anchor, Scraps of Tape, Obstruktion, Amalthea, and Gamla Pengar. In 2019, Swedish music magazine Gaffa hailed Blessings as one of the best metal acts of the year following the release of ”Biskopskniven”. Their music has been described as rhythmically complex, dark, and apocalyptic, while still remaining surprisingly catchy.

SHOW ME THE BODY (NYC) 20/8

SHOW ME THE BODY (NYC) 20/8

You thought we only spoil you on weekends and random Mondays huh? Hell no, Tuesdays in August, that’s where it’s at folks. So get your meatbags off the couch and join us as New York City’s very own SHOW ME THE BODY will destroy Ringön and Monument on August 20th.

This is genre-defying hardcore at its finest. As if the city itself had taken on human form and unleashed all of its heritage, influences, culture and diversity into one pissed off entity, refusing to bend to any one will.

A worn out sentiment perhaps; but this one; this one needs to be witnessed up close and in person. Support by: Ad Meliora + The Family Men.

KLUBB ORGANISERAT KAOS! RISE ABOVE (NO) + SODAKILL 26/4 150 150 Monument 031

KLUBB ORGANISERAT KAOS! RISE ABOVE (NO) + SODAKILL 26/4

KLUBB ORGANISERAT KAOS A.K.A KLUBB OK! RISE ABOVE + SODAKILL 26/4!

On Friday, April 26th, we welcome the birth of a new club here at Monument. It’s called OK, or Organiserat Kaos, whichever you prefer. It’s sort of like an inhouse club, but also not – cause technically Kiffe booked the bands and Carl just hijacked it and now calls it Organiserat Kaos cause he wanted to have a club called OK so he could steal the old OKEJ-logo.

As you can tell, it’s a super clear and distinct theme and organisation behind this, but don’t worry about that – the main focus for you is the same as for the club: THE BANDS! And boy do we have some absolutely killer bands in store for you.

First out is the powerhouse known as SODAKILL from Stockholm! They play bubbly and raw sodapunk, which makes perfect sense when you listen to their debut EP ”Warning” that they released in March this year. Basically one of the best new bands out there and you’re gonna love it when they destroy the stage on the 26th.

——

Headlining this fine evening is a group of norwegian punks named RISE ABOVE. They’re known for their chaotic live performances and genre-blending music. What began with the 2016 EP “Sounds of Liberation”, followed by singles “Gold” and “Up” in 2017, was pushed to the extreme with the release of their anticipated 2022 debut album “Times of Clarity”.

A perfect way to bring the Kaos to Klubb Organiserat Kaos.
