The explosive garage-rock duo known as The Courettes has taken audiences by storm around the world. As innovative heirs to Phil Spector’s infamous and beloved ”Wall Of Sound”, the band has kicked in the door to an international garage-rock adventure. Their albums have garnered acclaim and critical praise from some of the world’s biggest, leading music media, such as American Rolling Stone, CLASH Magazine and MOJO, all the while audiences have fallen in love with the always explosive live shows at venues across Europe, the US, Japan and South America .

The latest offering ”The Soul of The Fabulous Courettes” has been dubbed one of their best albums to date and we are so hyped to see the Danish-Brazilian duo bring the blistering ramalama to our stage on May 15th.

MONUMENT 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY 15/2

It’s feels like no time at all as well as forever; this first year of existence. It took a LONG TIME to get Monument started, but it was worth every second of blood, sweat and tears (and having to use a bucket for a toilet while building; but dont ask about that). And it’s been worth it thanks to all the bands, the staff, the music, collaborators, DJ’s, vendors, friends and family – but honestly, most of all thanks to YOU, the guests and visitors. The people buying tickets, making the trip out to Ringön and making sure we survived our first year.

We don’t take this for granted and so, on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 15, let’s have a party together! We’ve invited a bunch of friends to fill the stage and DJ-booth and naturally the bars and kitchen will be stacked. Tickets are 50kr + service and that all goes to the bands, so make sure to grab one and get ready to celebrate.

Monument proudly presents the first annual Christmas Bash on December 25th!

It’s the day after Christmas, you’re bummed about presents but loving the cash that the grandparents got you – but you’re even more bummed just thinking about having to go to a bar full of hemvändare acting a fool; hell there won’t even be any bands playing there. Fear not young one (or really old one, we don’t judge) – Ringön is here for you, more specifically Monument and the brilliant idea that is the Christmas Bash!

We’ve invited loads of bands, and most of them said no because apparently, people actually do stuff for the holidays. But not Mud Grief – and honestly, Enskild Firma has no choice. They’re our unofficial houseband. We can’t function without at least three shows per year with them. We also asked a bunch of DJ’s and they said no as well, so we’re sorry but it’s gonna be Carl & Kiffe a.k.a Klubb Organiserat Kaos behind the decks this fine evening!

All jokes aside – this is going to be one hell of a fun night. The bands are fucking amazing, December 25th is a great day to let loose and the DJ’s are open for songrequests via bribes.

On SUNDAY the 23rd of June you best wake up from that stupid Midsummer-hangover cause this is Les Lullies at Monument!!!

The band was formed back in 2016 by four French cheese-eating attack monkeys. Mont-pellier’s own sweethearts are in line with a bunch of bands and artists with a simple creed: hop in the van, go everywhere and play rock’n’roll!

We could list everything they’ve released – the legends they’ve shared stages with but you already know that. If not, go find out. This ain’t rocket science, mon frère, it is only rock’n’roll. And we wouldn’t have it any other way!

And please welcome Nyköpings finest a.k.a THE MANIKINS as opening act!
The Manikins were formed in 1999.
With their own recipe, they have created a perfectly mixed cocktail of garage punk, power pop and good old rock n roll.
Since the beginning, the band has managed to release 6 records and toured extensively in both Europe and the USA. The latest album ”Swedish Woods” was released in November on Lövely Records and has been praised by, among others, The Hives.
June 23rd The Manikins are back in Gothenburg and will offer Monument an explosive performance together with Les Lullies!

KLUBB ORGANISERAT KAOS A.K.A KLUBB OK! ROSA FAENSKAP (NO) + FOX WOMB  8/6

On Saturday the 8th of june, this glorious club continues to harass your beautiful minds! Get lost in the bathroom stalls, behind the Pripps containers or, as a matter of fact, in front of the stage!

Do you realise how good a club is when it hasn’t even had it’s premiere (hello Rise Above (NO) + Sodakill on Friday 26/4) but is already releasing it’s second date? WE’RE JUST THAT GOOD! And no, this is NOT a club that only books Norwegian headliners and Swedish supportbands, but you’re not crazy for thinking so. Get those tickets and let’s mess things up together!

Fox Womb will open this evening with their ferocious sound stright from the gutters of Gothenburg. They are steadily becoming one of the most promising hardcore acts of today, with a fresh touch on an old sound that we all know so very well. This band brings the energy to fill every room in our culture-rich city and we are blessed to have them violate our stage! They even have a really long name on their latest ep! It’s great!
Fun fact: Johannes, their drummer has had to endure Carl as a client when he used to work with printing shirts and stuff. Imagine having to deal with that; and then you know the drumming will be violent!

Rosa Faenskap is just as good as it translates to, with a vivid sound that resonates through everything it touches. They describe themselves as a declaration of love for – as well as a declaration of war against – black metal itself! Nedless to say, we had to check it out for ourselves and we couldn’t be more proud to have them close out the evening this fine Saturday.
