SWIRLIES FREDAG 7 NOVEMBER!

Amerikanska Shoegaze-legenderna Swirlies bildades 1990 i Cambridge, Massachusetts. Deras musik blandar element av noisepop, sludgerock i Dinosaur Jr.-stil, hardcore punk och lo-fi-tape-experiment med shoegaze-böjda gitarrer och alternerande sång. Swirlies var framträdande i den tidiga amerikanska shoegaze/noisepop-kretsen tillsammans med band som Velocity Girl, Lilys, Drop Nineteens, Polvo och Helium och är kända för sina komplexa arrangemang och innovativa inspelningar.

Bandet består för närvarande av grundarna Damon Tutunjian (gitarr, sång, syntar) och Andy Bernick (bas, syntar), Deborah Warfield (syntar, sång, sedan 2000), Elliot Malvas (gitarr, sedan 2011) och Kevin Shea (trummor, 2002/2024). Fredag den 7e november får ni äntligen chansen att uppleva Swirlies live när dom intar Monument och Ringön.

It’s no secret that Gothenburg has produced some of the very best indiebands there is; and AGENT BLÅ is definitely one of them! Dreamy soundscapes that doesn’t shy away from the subtle aggressions of postpunk and shoegaze – just the way we like it!

On Saturday, December 7th they stab their way into your hearts as they take the stage at Monument. Joining us this winter night is Malmös very own Söder om Söder, making sure everyone understands that great indie is not something exclusive to Gothenburg.
